Trio Mio takes a reference in the Scandinavian folk music tone and plays both new compositions as well as traditional material - instru-mental music in the focal point between folk, jazz and classical music. These related genres are mostly listened to separately, but in combination something unique is born...like the certain light in our latitudes. The tone is airy and down-to-earth at the same time - both for dancing as for getting lost within....light and heavy...light as a summer night, heavy as a winter morning. And faint, lumines-cent and fragile as both....

Kristine Heebøll is well know on the Danish folk music scene and has played in bands as Phønix, the duo HeebøllVinther and many other projects.

Now she is solo - as violinist and composer. On this her debut solo - CD, she is working close together with the Swedish Jens Ulvsand, guitar/bouzouki, known from the Swedish folk rock band Åvadå and the young and excellent Danish pianist and accordion player Nikolaj Busk- all together Trio Mio.
