With the ominous shadow of their debut album – Big Monster drawing ever closer, bass-infected, super-duo Baobinga & I.D. are itching to unleash their latest humdinger – ‘Jump Up Get Hype’.
A buzz of expectation has been building around these two for a while, with their prolific production talents already having featured on numerous Fabric compilations this year, a remix for Lot49 in the pipeline & another re-work for Menu featuring as single of the month in iDJ (October 07). Their no-nonsense, mash-up DJ sets have also introduced club-goers across the globe to their own unique take on bass-led styles like Grime, Hip Hop, Baltimore Bass, Breaks, Techno & dirty House.
With the previous Techno-inspired single, Jewelz, proving a hard act to follow, (featuring as ‘Secret Weapon’ in iDJ Oct 07) the pair have gone all guns blazing on this latest morsel and teamed up with Grime-of-the-moment MC collective – Virus Syndicate.
Alongside producer MRK1, MCs JSD, Goldfinger & Nika D have also turned heads of late, with their acclaimed debut album on Planet Mu garnering praise from Ras Kwame, Rob Da Bank, Annie Mac, Liam Howlett & Tim Westwood...
Now they have joined forces with Baobinga & I.D. as some crazy kind of Mancunian super-team and spawned a cut that combines the raw, caustic energy of Grime & Baltimore Bass with the rolling Beats-led production that Baobinga & I.D. fans know and love.
Already gaining support from the likes of Sinden & Tayo, this tune is set to blast off!
