The quintet gathers gems from the repertoire of the genius composer Cartola.

This group from Rio recorded some of Mangueira´s most important sambas. The solos of the five singers come together with Carlinhos 7 Cordas´ guitar and Marcelo Costa, Laudir de Oliveira, Sidon Silva, Marcelinho Moreira and Pizzoti ´s percussion. The homage also features Nelson Sargento, in O Sol Nascerá, and Beth Carvalho, the group´s godmother, in As Rosas Não Falam.
