Acustic (aka Jesper Skaaning) began his musical carreer as a guitarist in various experimental punk bands in the early eighties. Inspired by electropop and especially Yellow Magic Orchestra, he formed the band Acustisk Ungdom, which he later took his name from.
In 1994, he formed Future 3 together with Anders Remmer (aka Dub Tractor) and Thomas Knak (aka Opiate).
With their cool minimalism and their intelligent mix of dub and ambient, Future 3 made quite an impact on the electronic scene at that time. After Kruder and Dorfmeister listed Future 3´s debut album as one of their top 5 albums of all time, the trio were catapulted into the collective conciousness of lovers of electronic music. Later on they were invited to release an album on the renowned Scape label of Stefan Betke (aka Pole), which resulted in the System release.
Since 2000 Jesper has produced two split E.Ps on Thomas Knak´s label Hobby Industries, as well as producing the Danish band Superjeg.
