Based out of Denver, Colorado, a shoreline dream is a concept driven band taking the DIY approach full force, setting up the label themselves (latenight weeknight records) and then hitting the road. Best described as a band bridging the gap between post-rock and shoegaze with their ambient landscapes, vocals chanting through a radio at the bottom of a well, and one-take room recordings. The band has received many mentions based on their unique ability to draw people into a trance with landscapes of sound similar to artists like Godspeed You! Black Emperor mixed up with dreamy shoegaze influenced vocals similar to Slowdive.

In the Fall of 2006, a shoreline dream released their debut album "avoiding the consequences" with a full scale launch. Filter Magazine, The Planetary Group, Kaffeine Buzz, and a few key people at Paste Magazine helped in the release, garnering the band attention on several samplers for Landmark Theatres, Urban Outfitters, The Sundance Film Festival, Paste Magazine among others. Many critics lauded the effort as a unique and very Brian Enoesque experience.
