When Joao Suplicy sought out Roberto Menescal with a project still in demo form, singing hits of Elvis in Bossa Nova , Menescal got excited with the possibility of giving a different face to these hits, other arrangements for the public the fan. To try and escape from the possibility of it sounding like a “cover” album, for such a major artistic personality as Elvis, the songs were recorded with musicians which play Bossa Nova with arrangements and introductions that together with Joao “blues” guitar made the project more warm and seductive.
