This young guitarist born in the Mexico City, studied in the National School of Music of Cuba, between 1986 and 1992. Later, Mariña appeared as a soloist in the International Festival of Guitar, celebrated in Ankara, Turkey; and in Germany, Belgium, and Latin-American countries. In Mexico, he appeared with the several top international orchestras.
