36D ( which stands for "36D") is the long-lost result of a loud union among some of Detroit's strongest bands. Recorded in the early months of 1991 and promptly held hostage in a messy divorce settlement, this lascivious powerfest joined Ed Alterman of Slot, Big Chief's Mark Dancey, Barry Henssler, and Phil Durr with Robert Eastway and Dan Ross of early 80's harder-than-hardcore outfit, Born Without A Face. The suite of song here are evocative of hometown lust and loss, but "sensitive they're not - they're every bit as guitar-heavy and groove-intensive as good body-moving music should be.
Recorded, Mixed, And Mastered By Al Sutton @ White Room - Detroit, Mi.

"This five-track collection is a rumbling, growling whir of rip-'em-up rock. Fueled by testosterone, gilded with a nasty edge, this roar of lava is pushed forward by chunky riffs, effects-drenched vocals and a hot'n'bluesy bottom end. A must have recording."
Brian McCollum - Detroit Free Press - September 1996
"I'm not sure if they have the same system of bra measurement in the US as in the UK or if 36D refers to something else entirely, a school locker where drugs were stashed or the room number of a top class midget hooker, who knows except 36D themselves? The reason this sort of imagery comes to mind is that in the world of school junkies and dwarf prostitutes, I get the feeling that 36D reign supreme. This music is as sleazy, bluesy and full on 'rawk' as it gets. Slow, five note distorted blues riffs provide the backing to drawled vocals and lyrical sex such as "I took her down to Egypt valley wear the good girls go" which may be rude or it may not but you certainly know these guys get the girls and ride of of very big motorbikes. The five tracks on this ep inspire those sort of images perfectly. I think this is the sort of thing Lenny Kravitz wants to be, but he obviously fails miserably."
